Targeted photodynamic therapy for brain glioma based on photocontrolled release platelets

Targeted photodynamic therapy based on light controlled release platelets is a therapeutic method that uses platelets as a carrier to deliver nano photosensitizer to the tumor site, and then controls the release and activation of nano photosensitizer by laser irradiation, so as to produce reactive oxygen species to kill tumor cells. This approach can achieve high efficiency, low toxicity and high targeting of tumor therapy.

Case of targeted photodynamic therapy for brain glioma based on optical controlled release platelets:

The "light controlled release platelets" (BNPD-Ce6 @ Plt) was prepared by using a nanocomposite (BNPD-Ce 6) (Ce 6) on chloride-e 6. In mouse in situ and intracranial glioma models, after intravenous injection of BNPD-Ce 6 @ Plt, BNPD-Ce 6 and BNPD-Ce 6 @ Plt. After another laser irradiation, the tumor developed significant necrosis. This method significantly inhibited mouse glioma growth and significantly improved mouse survival.
